This little diner, which opened it's doors in 1951, resides in a quaint college town about 5 minutes from our house. It's a total throwback to a time in history when life was simple, the world was a safe place and family was everything. Trace will get to experience the childhood thrill of eating out of cardboard Cadillac cars, sipping on shirley temples and picking out candy at the cashier on our way out the door -- The Soda Shop is a little gem!
Oh how perfect!!! Love lil old restaurants!
ReplyDeleteAhhh! Just made me a little homesick. I LOVE the Soda Shop, so many memories that I hope Trace will have one day along that little street, especially during Christmas in DAV. Our old high school principal used to play football at Davidson and is in the walls in that soda shop somewhere on the back wall. That's our small town :)
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! (not to mention makes me SO HUNGRY for greasy ol diner food. Thanks a lot!)
ReplyDeleteLove the Soda Shop! There's nothing like grilled ham and cheese with fries and a Coke.. now I'm starving.
ReplyDeleteOh so fun!
ReplyDeleteTrace looks like your husband! And the food looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI love these little restaurants too :) We had one by my university, same one my dad went to at lunch when he was in high school. He would pick me up from university and take me for lunch there, great memories :)
ReplyDeleteAnd great that Trace gets to have those memories too :)

ReplyDeleteHow in the world did I miss this place? I never knew it existed!
