happy birthday to ME

This past Sunday was my birthday.

The morning begun with Bryan putting together the baby's stroller. 

While we continue waiting for our boy, Calz looked super cute standing in it :)

32 is not a year you go all out for.

All I wanted was to relax and do the things I love with the man I love.

Afterall, relaxing on my birthday won't be happening for several years to come :)

That morning I enjoyed my free Grand Slam at Dennys and came home to this surprise on my doorstep.

Maran gave me the sweetest birthday present - a gold necklace with our baby's initial engraved on it.

I cried my eyes out and then immediately made Bryan put it on me.

After that good stuff, we got some sun in our backyard.

There's just something about getting that belly tan that makes me feel so much better!

And of course Calz was a blinded-by-the-sun bathing beauty, per usual.

I had 2 minor requests from Bryan, 1 of which was for him to drink a bottle of champage that day. 

He succeeded, whereas I had a refreshing mocktail of Diet Ginger Ale and red Gatorade!

Then I wanted watermelon... because I've been loving watermelon even more than usual lately.

This was Bryan's attempt at mimicking my belly.

Yes, that watermelon weighed exactly as much as I've gained thus far... and I ate all of it in 2 days!

That evening we headed to Uptown for a celebratory sushi dinner at Enso.

 We capped off the night eating milkshakes and watching Blake and Luke host the CMA's.

It couldn't have been a better April 7th... my last birthday sans mommyhood!
