Bryan and I had a long afternoon sitting in a stale office obtaining life insurance. Discussing your pending death and the mortality of your spouse is draining, but nothing that an afternoon at the lake can't cure!
Have you ever seen such a tiny dog beg for a stick, play fetch in the water, swim, swim swim and then bask on the shoreline?
The warm summer temps draw us to the lake and remind us why we moved to Charlotte in the first place.
I loveeee lake life! My boyfriend and I live in Charleston, SC and we are about 45 min. away from Lake Moultrie. We have a blast out there boating, sailing, bbq-ing, etc. It's nice to get away from the saltiness of the beach once in a while, too.
ReplyDeleteI was just about to say everything you said about Cali in the water, playing with a stick, and then you went and said it. If I threw my small dogs in a lake they would look at me like I was torturing them via water boarding.

ReplyDeleteAwww I think Cali and Bronx (my puppy) could be good friends!! Although I've never tried to get Bronx to swim... I wasn't sure Yorkies ever did that... glad you could enjoy the lake and relax close to home for once!
